Andrew Will Red Blend Champoux Vineyard Horse Heaven Hills 2019

About this wine
We are on FIRE! So long Fidélitas! But...we ain't done yet! Champoux is the vineyard, see, and Andrew Will the esteemed producer – and those two things paired with a WORLD-BEATING price and a 96 POINT review means this is surely another SELL-OUT in the making! This is one of Washington state’s GREATEST producers – heck, they go on my personal list of top 25 in ALL of North America!!! They’ve drawn comparisons by top critics to CHEVAL BLANC – no easy feat – and this Right Bank blend is always a personal favorite. Somehow, as good as the 2018 was – this 2019 is even better, and y’all are going to rightly flip…provided you’re fast enough to snag a few bottles! Way UNDER $50 you better FLY! Andrew Will is a legend in WA, with a growing reputation across the USA and beyond, while Champoux is one of the greatest vineyards in Washington state. Like the 2018 – this is outrageously rich and powerful, with silky and seamless texture, unending complexity, and all too easy to mistake for top growth Bordeaux. WORLD’S BEST price is just the cherry on top…and speaking of CHERRIES! The pure, concentrated, exceptionally plush black cherry note comes out from the opening bell, followed by waves of blackberries, and roasted plums, with thus dusty sage and earthy sassafras thing giving it extra complexity. There’s accents of graphite, and some blood orange zest, with black licorice, and plenty of toasty, barrel-driven polish holding it all together. Crazy long – almost as long as a Cory Booker filibuster – on the broad and enduring finish, with fairy-dust sprinkling of elegance and class over all. It’s epically good, y’all…like the best of the best Napa Cab blends, but for way, WAY less scrill. 96 POINTS!!! Under $50!!! Don’t you dare miss out!
