Ok, I am somewhat embarrassed that Bell Biv DeVoe — pioneers of the New Jack Swing genre — was the only band that popped into my head when I saw this $10 bottle of sheer, heart-racing joy. What can I say? Child of the 80s through and through. But nevermind that. Did you see this PRICE?! TEN BUCKS?! Load up, good people — and if you make haste…you just might be lucky enough to be sipping on this all summer long! Armida Zinfandel has popped up in your inbox a couple different times over the past few years — and every…single…time, we get flooded with consistent praise and a bevy of cool, out-in-the-world, ultra-fun bottleshots tagged to our insta. Now, you ain’t likely to mistake this for DRC, but at ten bucks — this little baddie ain’t trying to be. It’s juicy, spicy, and flat-out fun. Like wicked bomber fun, the sort of fun a Southie might have pickin’ fights with smart kids at a Hahr-vard bar like Grendel’s Den or Shay’s. It’s a forty-five-dollar-drinking Zinfandel at a ten dollar price…and sometimes (especially with the world we’re living in) that’s everything one could want. So, yeah…anywho, this newest drop is POIZIN…and it comes to play! Ripe summer plums fresh off the tree? Yes. Cherries of all sorts, spiced with vanilla, and black pepper, clove, and cardamom? That, too. There’s a warm, soul-filling milk chocolate and sweet, toasty oak note that carries through it all, and a lingering zip of pink peppercorns that keeps you coming back for more. Solid, solid stuff — seriously. The perfect companion to backyard BBQs, impromptu gatherings, and peaceful nights gazing up at the stars while you sit around the campfire. All without breaking the bank! All I can say is…GET A LOT! While it lasts, of course!
