About this wine
Guess WHO?!?! 97 POINT Beringer KNIGHT’S VALLEY Cab is back! One of the world’s great values here in California — for UNDER $30!!!! The KVR is sort of the secret weapon in Beringer’s entire portfolio. Everyone knows the estate’s flagship Private Reserve Cab, and food lovers and restaurant hoppers around the country are highly versed in their incredible (and incredibly priced) Knight’s Valley Cab from the wine list at their favorite Thursday night steakhouse…but this KVR magically snags the best of both. I mean, James Suckling gave BOTH this normally $70 KVR and the normally $175 Private Reserve — in the very same 2021 vintage — matching 97 POINT scores! Can you say, ALL-TIME-DEAL or what? KVR!!! The utterly glorious 2021 vintage. Selected from a SINGLE block, and then whittled down from a selection of only the BEST barrels in that block to craft what just might be the dollar-for-dollar and pound-for-pound Cabernet CHAMPION of all California. Sorry, Napa…sorry, Paso…but it simply HAD to be said! And that PRICE?!?! What more could you want? Perfumed and floral notes of violets, lilac, and lavender pull you in like a Parisian patisserie window display, and then…POW! In your face flavors of sheer power and depth — blackberries, and plums, with black cherry kirsch, and mulberries, warm mocha, and graphite, and toasted baking spice, and…AND! It’s so incredibly expansive, and so delicately polished — it is simply unfathomable to score this at such a crazy low price. I LOVE Private Reserve — y’all KNOW that I do. But load up on this, and tuck those PR baddies away for another decade — ‘cause this flat-out DELIVERS — even now. That cooler Knight’s Valley freshness ensures this has another decade plus of prime drinking, certainly — but I don’t know a TIBETAN MONK with the will and training to resist drinking this on the regular!!! We got all we could…YOU’RE UP! While it lasts!!!
