EX. TREM. A. DURA! We cannot stop saying it, c’mon, do it with us. Extremadura! Those of you who know, we’ll you’ve already got your 6 and are back to Xmas planning, gutter cleaning, paintball wars, air-drumming along to “Regatta de Blanc” (highly recommended, Spotify just told us it was out most-played song of 2021, check it out, it could be a musical metaphor for how we feel every day when we offer another blisteringly gnarly deal!!) or mowing the lawn or whatever it is on this sunny, somewhat frigid Saturday. So, GOOD on ya, this stuff is a legendary Last Bottle overachiever and we’re stoked you got some. If you DON’T know, this is Spain’s hot, arid and dry, and rather “extreme” place for grape growing and that’s what makes a lot of the wines here so exceptional. READ THIS about Extremadura, it makes us want to jump on a plane to Madrid. Alas, if you can’t do that, at least DRINK it - this rich, delicious wine is THIRTEEN astounding dollars. **poof** Coloma is a small, family-run winery we discovered some years back, and it offers a staggering value even at what would be it’s normal $25 price. The “Seleccion” is the young and talented winemaker Amelia Coloma’s best barrels of Grenache, and it will zap your tongue and brain to attention. Packed and percolating with kirsch, rose petals, rose hips, lush lavender and potpurri, sandalwood, clove, and cherry pie all mix with terrific freshness and vim and vigor. The amazing part is how balanced and fine this, so flowing and symphonius despite it’s rocking concentration. MUCH LOVE to this most-extreme winery...one of our great, great finds over the years. LOCK it in, there’s not much to be had! Happy weekending!
