This “Special Selection” Cabernet (take that, Caymus!) is an unbridled, run-for-the-roses thoroughbred of elite Napa Cab – selected from some of the ORIGINAL and historic Napa sites that put Conn Creek on the map back in the 1970s Golden Age of Napa Valley. The nearly black, vibrantly deep purple wine oozes silkily into the glass, revealing beguiling aromatics of violets and rose petals, with blackberry syrup, and hints of potent kirsch. Chocolate cream pie with vanilla Chantilly cream blossoms on the mid-palate, enveloped in surrounding fruits like baked plums, more blackberries, and a dusting of chocolate truffles. Some woodsy notes of cedar and green tobacco lend further depth, and this crushed rock minerality keeps this pulsing into a crazy-long finish. Flashy, layered, and just undeniably SEXY – this is Napa Cab as it should be…we just so happen to have it at the BEST price anywhere!
