About this wine
Double 94 POINTS for one DIVINE Cali-Cab that we’re bringing to your doorstep for a full 64% OFF! A Santa Cruz Mountains ICON has landed! DOMAINE EDEN is BACK, y’all! You begged, then we begged, and wouldn’t ya know it – quite unlike poor Oliver Twist – hot dang, did we EVER get some MORE!!! And THE PRICE? Ludicrous. UNDER $20 for this double 94 POINT, Wine Enthusiast “Cellar Selection” from one of California’s most historic wineries…YES!!! Mount Eden, my people! This completely magical Santa Cruz Mountains stalwart is beloved by wine drinkers the world over, and just when I thought I couldn’t love them any more, they added a sister. In 2007, they bought the old Cinnabar winery (another legend) just down the road and renamed it Domaine Eden. Same attention to world-class farming and winemaking, even more attractive pricing, and, on occasion…in certain vintages – every bit as good (OR BETTER!) than their sister property… In 2020…we’re talking about one of those special instances. We tasted the two Cabs side-by-side, and Domaine Eden won…unanimously for sheer, upfront pleasure, and delightfully Cab-centric deliciousness. And this goes beyond our illustrious tasting panel of grizzled wine-industry veterans and burnout line cooks with creative writing degrees…Wine Enthusiast came to the exact…same…conclusion!!! 92 points for the $110 Mount Eden 2020 Cab, and then a 94 POINT review for the (normally) $50 DOMAINE EDEN 2020 Cab. Ummm, mic drop much?! That’s not even factoring our LUDICROUS under $20 price – a full 64% OFF the retail!!! So yeah…LOAD UP is what I’m saying – ‘cause you can be certain this ain’t sticking around for long! And WOWEEEEE…is this ever rocking! Plums and kirsch, ripe blackberries with smoldering sage, briny and savory black olives, with a smattering of bay leaf and cinnamon, then this truck-load of crushed rock minerality ushering in the finale…this is highly complex, old-school accents with a new-school core of plush, lip-smackingly ripe fruit, and plenty of polish. WOWZA – so good!!! The winery has long been a personal favorite for off-the-radar Cabernet Sauvignon production…and this simply UNBEATABLE value makes this the sort of no-brainer, multi-case pick-up that nobody…NOBODY… should miss!!! Any of y’all that scored a much, much tinier drop last spring know what a deal this is…and we backed up TWO truckloads of freshies just from the winery’s warehouse this time around. I mean, C’MON!!! A living legend amongst California wineries, a DOUBLE 94 POINT, cannot miss round of critical praise, and the BEST PRICE you will EVER see at our fantastic UNDER $20 mark. Who could even THINK of missing out??? Let’s take home some UNICORNS today – while they last!!!
