So…I suppose it shouldn’t have been TOO much of a surprise that this wine nearly separated my brain from my body like some demented Tarantino kung-fu/samurai mash-up. But WOWZA! This 95 POINT beast is that plush, juicy juice with a capital J, y’all…the sort of inky, silky, decadent, and hedonistic marvel that 110% bears the undeniable imprint of both the Bevan and Katz signature styles! Black fruits, blue fruits, luscious mocha and truffle dust, with savory, roasted herbs, and a wee morsel of spiciness that showcases this volcanic rock/graphite minerality. This baby is pumping like 70’s-era Schwarzenegger, and finishing stronger than a “last call” shot of Fernet. 95 POINTS for a silky smooth, incredibly crushable, completely off-the-radar winery (just TRY to find this anywhere else — not even a website yet)!
