About this wine
“If I had a fish restaurant with a patio, I’d pour the sh*t out of this by the glass.” – Alex Mares, Sommelier at *** Michelin’s Eleven Madison Park So…SUPER SUNDAY continues! We blasted through that first cache of glorious GUIGAL…but what say you to some hyper-delish Côtes du Rhône Blanc? Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Clairette Blanc, Grenache Blanc, and Bourboulenc…all the best Rhône white grapes are here – and man, do they know how to PARTY! Jeb Dunnuck calls this ”outstanding” and “classy” before going on to admit, “I never cease to be amazed at the quality of the Côtes du Rhône white from this team…” HELLO! Our entire team was similarly impressed – and when we worked out a deal to bring it your way at a MARVELOUS $12…we backflipped. Stainless steel keeps this sharp and vibrant, cool fermentation makes this more expressive than a mime on ecstasy, and limestone, granite, and sedimentary soils give this class, structure, and complexity for days! It rocks, even if it were THREE TIMES the price…but at our KILLER best in the USA price – this baby SLAYS! Matchstick and beeswax burst from the glass, followed by floral notes of lemon verbena, star jasmine, and honeysuckle. Orange oil, tangerine, honeydew melon, juicy peach, and a kiss of papaya – oh yeah, them too. The golden and glistening wine oozes with warming spices and a rich, mouth-coating texture, making this a perfect winter white with or without food. If you’re wise, you’ll load up the truck on this too – when else can you snag the iconic house of GUIGAL for UNDER $13??? Go get ‘em, good people!
