About this wine
“The 2011 Mixed Blacks is another pedigreed wine from Edge Hill that is just bursting with class…It has both the depth and pedigree to develop in bottle for a decade, perhaps more.” – Antonio Galloni, Vinous 92 POINTS! The oldest Mixed Blacks in today’s Edge Hill line-up, and man, oh man — is it ever FLEXING! This will be gone in a moment, so read fast and click faster still if you want some…and trust your online wine merchant — you WANT some! Cherry Kirsch, and fig newton cookies, with fresh-poured asphalt…WOW! What a nose! And the rest of this beauty is pretty stunning, too, good people! Inky black cherry and blackberry flavors, with an almost Syrah-like smoky bacon note, and this graphite/pencil lead character that lingers softly. It’s rich up front, but tapers like a Hattori Hanzō samurai sword — so fine, precise, and razor sharp! We scored about 15 cases of this 2011 wonder, and I promise you — it is already well on its way to being gone forever… Don’t MISS!!! All Marathon orders will be combined and shipped from our West Coast warehouse. Please allow up to 6 weeks for us to reach all states. Additional Qs? Check out our FAQs and this handy Marathon page!
