2016 is here and ready to ROCK…YOUR…WORLD! This beauty earned 93-95 POINTS from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate as a barrel sample…and the years in bottle have only made this better! Wine Advocate called out its “gregarious nose,” and yep, I’ll allow it. This beauty talks to you like a toddler trapped on a long car trip, but with the sort of charm and exotic wit of a young Oscar Wilde. It’s shockingly easy to fall head over heels in love with this deep purple beauty…and all it took was a single glass for me. We have 13 cases — which means some of y’all are about to get lucky…but a whole lot more are gonna miss out — so do not delay! Robust and high-toned with aromatic florals and bright red cherries, raspberries, and red currants…this is a balanced and complex wine that showcases all of the rockstar energy that made 2016 such a worthy vintage. Ten years later, that pedigree is holding strong — and I’m gonna say another ten years yet is still in the forecast. But that doesn’t mean you need to wait another second…I’m certainly not going to! The blueberry tarts, and roasted herbs, with flecks of graphite, and baking spice, and a sweet kiss of vanilla, bringing it all home. It’s silky, lush, and lip-smacking…and I can’t…stop…SIPPING!
