91 POINTS! This juice is LIT! Gaslighter Sauvignon Blanc is a new project, joining The Chicks (formerly The Dixie Chicks) and Sonoma’s own Gundlach Bundschu winery. Fruit is sourced from the Sonoma Coast (with a dash of Napa Valley added for good measure, then crafted, aged, and bottled at Gun-Bun’s own facility just outside of downtown Sonoma. The famed musical trio leaves the winemaking to the pros here — but they were actively involved in everything from naming to design, and even the final blending sessions. And you know what?!?! It is surprisingly delicious! Can’t say I was ever an avid fan of the music, but when it comes to their wine…sign me up for the mailing list, add me to the tour update notifications, and consider the overpriced, “limited edition and 1-night-only” t-shirt SOLD!!! And then, well, then there is our JAW-DROPPING price! Ten…yes, only TEN AMERICAN DOLLARS! Wine Spectator blessed this with a solid 91 POINT score…and while this typically retails at $23…you know we’d never let THAT fly! So we dug deep, and clawed and scratched the prices lower, and lower, until we had whittled away nearly 60% OFF!!! Ok, check that…now that I’ve had a few sips…it’s pretty freaking delicious, actually!!! Luscious and tropical-y, with a sleek, citrine zestiness. Papaya, and lemon-lime, with a tart sweetness of Ruby Red grapefruits, and fresh spring herbs…say hello to the thirst-quenching, porch-pounding bottle of spring, and summer, and beyond! Get a case, get two — this is one of those bottles you’ll want to have in your fridge, at the ready, anytime the sun is shining. It’s totally balanced, and outright concerning how quickly a bottle disappears. Normally…celebrity wine brands come with a HUGE red caution flag…but trust your online wine scribe — you’ll want a lot of this, to drink, and share, and celebrate EVERYDAY! While it lasts!
