Guarachi Proprietary Red “G by Alex Guarachi” Atlas Peak Napa Valley 2022

About this wine
Ain’t nothing but a G-thang, BABY! “G by Alex Guarachi” is BACK, and this 97 POINT phenom crushes the competition...all at a breathtaking UNDER $40 price!!! Case of the Mondays? In the immortal exclamations of Cher Horowitz…uggh! AS IF!!! Today’s 97 POINT bruising and bustin’ Atlas Peak Cab Blend is more like a “Case Me” Monday! OVER 60% OFF, and ready to rock…your…WORLD! Pro tip: read quickly, or better still, go get your fill and come on back to finish reading later…’cause there simply ain’t enough to go ‘round! We’re talking about a powerful, inky, and definitely NOT FOR THE SHY mix of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, and 2% Petit Verdot crafted by Julian Gonzalez, the longtime Paul Hobbs #2, who has sprung forth from that mighty shadow and is drumming up quite the reputation in his own right! Now, it must be said — there is some pretty excellent pricing out there on this wine, but trust me when I say, we are the ABSOLUTE lowest…so if you can score from us while the getting is good…that’s your best course. But I couldn’t blame you for scoring more of this elsewhere if you’re late to this Last Bottle PARTY! Normally $90 at the winery, viciously PULVERIZED down to WAY below $40 price is about as compelling as it gets…and if the Guarachi performance during our most recent Spring Marathon is any indicator…the word is out on this longtime Last Bottle favorite! Inkier than a startled cuttlefish, with gloriously heady notes of cassis, and roasted fennel, then black cherries, and blackberry coulis, with this floral, almost peppery note that lingers long after each greedy sip…WOWZA! It’s tongue-coating, and teeth-staining goodness to its Conradian Core — and if your summer travels contain a trip up the Congo with a man named Marlow…you’d best have a trunk full of these baddies! For me, I’m tucking into the savory meatiness of this wine with ember-grilled NY strips (and maybe a decadent little Madeira-peppercorn sauce…), YUM!!! Ok, what more is there to say? Probably close to selling out already! 97 POINTS, and way, WAY under $40! Go, go, goooooooooo!!!
