In the immortal words of McBain…MENDOZA!!!! That’s right, Simpson fanatics — you don’t have to be Rainier Wolfcastle to know that screaming the praises of this ROCKSTAR region is all the rage these days…and hyper-fresh, UNBELIEVABLY priced wines like this are just the reason why!!! 94 POINTS! Wrap me up tight and put me to bed, ‘cause there is simply no beating this deal! And the WINE!!! Jasmine…and lilacs, sweet raspberries, and tart blueberries, all with this ultra-fresh dusting of baby powder. It’s ethereally elegant, with a softness that falls somewhere between a delicate Crozes-Hermitage and Fixin Village Burgundy — which means you’re gonna LOVE it…like, A LOT! For ONLY $16?! The only place in the ENTIRE WORLD where you’ll get a better deal is in Argentina herself — and if you’ve taken a gander at flight prices lately…you know that trip ain’t happening anytime soon. I mean, there is mountain vino and then there is THIS!!! A 30 hectare plot absolutely SOARING at over 4,300 feet above sea level! Can you even imagine?!?! That’s DOUBLE the elevation of Howell Mountain — for roughly one-tenth the price a single vineyard, 100% Cabernet Franc, blended by Michel Rolland would cost you. Don’t know ‘bout you, but this is just the bargain I NEED in my life! Perfect with all manner of foods, or just on its own, this is a veritable Swiss Army knife vino that is going to come in handy all spring and summer long!
