About this wine
Barolo, baby!! Wow! Hardcore collectors, savvy Piemontese aficionados, and ANYONE who wants to have the foundations of their wine-loving palate rocked to the core…this is your day! 50% OFF on terrific, classic, old-school-y Barolo? Let’s go!!! This is just epically delicious, any way you slice it… unlike a lot of burly Barolo, this is a sexier style, with waves of red cherry and blue fruits, that gotta-have-it black tea note, spices, and an elegantly textured, delicately mouth-coating feel. Every sip gives you a show – dried cherries! Orange peel! Black tea! Balsam! Is that MINT? Fennel? Clove?! Trust your ridiculously GIDDY wine merchant - this is a wine to savor NOW and over the next decade. I just dare you to watch it develop, grow, and morph over the years, but I promise, EVERY time you drink it you will think – “I shoulda got more!” Barely enough to even offer…this will FLY! Truly, we’re talking 200 years of history for the Fontana clan (god, we miss visiting there!!) in their gorgeous spot in the central hub of Castiglione Falletto (truly one of the most pilgrimage-worthy grape sites on the planet). 8 generations of winemaking legacy… it is just crazy they remained off the radar for so long. But no longer! This is wicked-magic stuff here, with the intensity, and elegant concentration of a warm Barolo vintage, yet balanced with pixie-like weightlessness on your palate. Just amazingly ethereal. At any price. UNDER $40?!?! So good! But super limited so MOVE, good people! OK, I sure hope you got some… the rest is MINE! While it lasts!
