Metzker Family Estates is a small family project that sources fruit from some of Napa and Sonoma’s top vineyard sites to create exciting and classic expressions of simply unreal quality! “No beer, no T.V. make Homer something something…” Don’t mind if I do!!!! People, good people – what a day! We’re coming to the end – as I officially cannot sip any more delicious but powerful Napa Cabernet! My tongue is raw, my enamel is cracking, my head is reeling, but…WORTH IT! Before I go and sleep through the weekend, I think we can safely share ONE MORE MAGNUM! This time, it’s a Spring Mountain sensation – from newcomers at the Metzker Family Estates. Their winemaker is a young gent named John Martin – and while you may not have heard of him (yet!) – you’re sure to recognize his mentors! Paul Hobbs, Sebastiani’s Mark Lyons, and Chalk Hill/Roth Estate’s Bill Foley and Henry de Lambert. That’s a pretty solid list – and when paired with some high-elevation Spring Mountain Cabernet – a match made in heaven Napa Cab! We’ve got the MAGNUM at the price the winery is selling their 750s – and I’m no math wizard, but surely TWICE as much wine is a good thing, right? Right! Go get ‘em – Napa Cab Day is winding down!
