About this wine
You are NOT ready! 2016 Napa Cab! Over 60% OFF this tried-n-true 99 POINT icon! Let’s goooooooooo!!! Dude…DUDE!!! We blew the roof off with yesterday’s Napa Cab mystery – and now, we’re back to demo the foundations! 99 POINTS! UNDER $70! For a long time (very long time), Napa Valley SUPERSTAR and this extra-special, cherry-on-top LIBRARY raid of their prized 2016 vintage! Baked plums and graphite, with burdock root, and cherry cola, wintergreen mint, and blackberries for DAYS! Fennel fronds, and mocha powder, with this deep pine needle and forest floor freshness that keeps this lingering on the tongue impressively! 2016 is an all-time great Napa Cab vintage that we simply refuse to shut up about (and still buy basically any chance we get) – and 9 years since that EPIC harvest has done wonders for this flagship bottling. Like yesterday’s prize offering, you already know the name…but the luster of this primo bottling never seems to fade. We scored all that we could of this spectacular vintage, direct from the winery – and that stunning little historical landmark that they call a tasting room. (I live just down the road, and that stunner never fails to turn my head as I cruise by.) Anywho…not enough wine, and TIME is of the essence! Who’s ready for hints?! - These folks were the first winery to use gravity-fed facilities in Napa, and can also lay claim to cellaring in the valley’s first hand-dug wine caves. - Accolades pile up when you’ve been around for over a century – but these folks hold the rare distinction of being the only winery to have both their white and red named as Wine Spectator’s #1 wine of the year in their annual Top 100 list. - 60% of this fruit comes from three vineyards atop Howell Mountain, then the remaining from Oakville, Saint Helena, and Mount Veeder. - Critics have called this wine “breathtaking”, “rich, deep and explosive”, and “superb” with a finish so compelling that “you wonder where it will end and normal life begins again.” I mean, RIGHT?! The winery has this for $175 a bottle, but we’re flexing like Chris Bumstead at the INSANELY low price of UNDER $70. That’s the lowest price we’ve EVER sold any vintage of this long-time favorite at – and it’s not close! What more do you need? Get ALL that you can…’cause a library STEAL like this surely won’t last for long!
