From green and yellow tractor CEOs, to consulting advice from the iconic “Maestro” himself, and now in the EXCEEDINGLY capable hands of that very same legend’s successor, who makes another WORLD FAMOUS wine just a stone’s throw down the road from here — where he’s achieved numerous 100 point scores…just…AAAAHHHHH!!! The winery sells this at $200 a pop (and it’s got that heavy, caveman-club, extra-thiccccc glass to prove it), but here? Today? How’s $141 OFF sound? Pretty dang good, doesn’t it? We’re talking about estate-grown fruit from the western benchlands of Rutherford — bordered by such hallowed sites as Georges de Latour (aka BV Ranch No. 1 and No. 2), Inglenook, and Bosché! This small, cult-y production was even named #1 Cabernet Sauvignon in the entire world by a major publication a few years back — though in all fairness…the current winemaker was understudying up alongside another simply QUACKtastic winemaking legend at the time. Ah…I simply CAN’T say much more…else I’ll give the game away! 94 POINTS and prime to blow your hair clean off — like Elon before his extensions. A couple notes on this Conradian descent down the Congo, and then I’ll leave you to claim some for yourself…just please hurry!!! Too good to miss, this one! Deep and brambly, with floral notes of violets and rose, then dusty pencil lead shavings, and exotic whispers of black truffle. Blackberries, and charred fennel notes, with black cherry compote, mission figs, black pepper, and elderberry syrup, too! Oh, BABY, this is a beast! Powerful, and loaded with mocha, and freshly-roasted coffee bean torrefaction, with a lingering kiss of Tahitian vanilla. It is definitely NOT FOR THE SHY!!! OVER $140 OFF, my friends! Go, go, GOOOO!
