You know what that means…turn up the Beastie Boys and just scream…“KIIIICK IT!” UNDER $35, too? That’s the kind of Monday I can cope with, my friends! I seem to say it every year — but there’s never enough bone dry, flinty Sauvignon Blanc to go ‘round…especially when it hails from the greatest places on earth to grow it! The one and only NICOLAS GIRARD is back — and you long-time Last Bottlers know — this is one of those off-the-radar values that you can almost NEVER find in Sancerre these days…but…we got you covered! And the juice? It does…not…disappoint!!! The high-toned florals! The spicy, fresh herb POP! The oodles and oodles of citrus — from lemon, and lime, to mandarin oranges, and grapefruit, too! YES!!! Wisps of smoky flint add some Sherlock-worthy intrigue, and this almost pithy, kiwi and cantaloupe pith gives it just enough bite. It’s racy, and electric, and with that perfect amount of SweeTART-y, lip-puckering acidity to keep you racing back for more! Best hurry — you can’t find this ANYWHERE else in the entire USA…and certainly not at this cray-cray price! So…best JUMP, cannonball, and can-opener into the Sancerre pool A-S-A-P!!! This iconic Sancerre estate goes back to 1875 (!), but the Girard family modernized the winery and vineyards when they bought the estate in 1973, and ever since it has become the base for not only the original estate, Domaine des Brosses – but also the offshoot brands by the new, younger generations of the Girard Clan. Alain Girard, Nicolas’ father, comes from several generations of winemakers in the tiny village of Chaudoux, located directly north of the famous town of Chavignol. Nicolas, and Anthony each have their own label, made in slightly different styles, but this bone-dry, completely ELECTRIC Sancerre has become a staff-favorite — especially during the spring and summer months! Best FLY…we didn’t get quite as much as last year, so get yours while it lasts!
