An impossibly RARE grape, which you are unlikely to find outside of Germany, or maybe in a small pocket of the Italian Alps near Alto Adige. But HERE? On the west coast of the USA?! Fuhgetaboutit!! KERNER??? The unheralded love child of Riesling and Schiava Grosso (aka Trollinger), crafted with care and precision, with zippy acidity, a tasty little chef’s kiss of honeyed sweetness, and layer after layer of minty lemon, spiced pear, and savory herbs…all for OVER 75% OFF?! Huh-to-the-zah, my friends! If you have a soft spot for Pinot Grigio, Napa Sauv Blanc, Viognier, or even the occasional nearly, almost completely, but not totally, dry Mosel Riesling…this…is…for…YOU! 94 POINTS! Just $16! For this Puget Sound perfection? It’s just unreal. We’ve featured Öömrang a couple times over the past few years – and these always FLY! Better still, the response to these long, tall, eminently artistic bottles is ALWAYS effusive…and when it comes to rare grapes like Sylvaner, Müller-Thurgau, and other oddities (at least here in the states), no one…and I mean NO ONE does it better than Öömrang! Organically-reared fruit grown with the absolutely mind-melting backdrop of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and the Cascade Range – imbued with the pristine wilderness and abundant energy of the Pacific Northwest! Anyone else craving homemade granola and a 10-mile hike? Crazy aromatics, and silky smooth flavors of lemon verbena, juicy peach, with mango sherbert, baked pears, clover honey, and uplifting punches of crushed basil and chervil. There’s this flinty, river rock note that keeps this all hyper-fresh and titillating – why, it’s enough to get my hip a-stering! Bad news bears, time, y’all…we don’t have NEARLY enough!
