Pull out your hair, pace nervously like a caged cheetah, rock in your chair, engage your favorite box breathing technique… basically, clutch your pearls — and do whatever you need to do to get enough calm and steady into your fingertips so you can LOAD UP on this…FAST! Panek Vineyard is a small, family-run brand…first discovered by the great T.R.B. while crafting the cult-y Pulido-Walker wines. He liked the vineyard so much, it was soon featured as a single vineyard in his own Rivers Marie label, and welp…if you like pristine, simply untouchable pedigree, crafted by Napa’s most famous winemaker…but don’t want to drop $200 a bottle to get it…LOOK NO FURTHER!!! 96+ POINTS might be the headliner, but the longevity of this wine is the real marvel here. You’re gonna want a lot, because let’s be real — this deal, and these savings are simply LUDICROUS for any T.R.B. single vineyard Napa Cab. But…BUT!!! Your gonna wanna open this with intention, and thought, and a weeeeee bit o’planning if you really want this to shine as brightly as it can in its youth. Yes, 4 years is just a BABY here, folks. I’d suggest a vigorous double-decant, or even popping the cork the night before you dive into this hedonistic, stylish, and surreally polished bad boy! And hey — if you want to sit on a couple bottles for 10, 20, 25 years…and then tell your grandkids about how you once scored the mother of deals on the world’s most famous winemaker…more power to ya! I mean, the sheer BLACKNESS of it all!
