The BOLD and viciously powerful Soléna Pinot Noir has returned...and better than ever! UNDER $20 for a 94-point Willamette Valley WONDER like this? Huh-to-the-ZAH, good people! Dark as a winter’s night, and overflowing with flavor, and depth, and utterly spectacular brilliance, too? Sign…me…UP!!! Soléna continues to hold down the fort as a tried and true Last Bottle favorite, and it seems each and every new bottling we taste creeps up the quality ladder, inch by delicious inch of Oregonian goodness. This boldly beautiful beast is perhaps the very best yet – and we locked in the sort of price that borders on the unbelievable – especially for this small, family-run production, and mostly killer estate fruit from the Yamhill-Carlton region of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. YES!!! Darkly lush…and plump…and JUICY – this baby is a veritable berry and cherry BOOM of seemingly epic proportions. Black cherries, and black raspberries, with Marionberries, and even some tart and sweet huckleberries…YOWZA! The spice box comes rushing in with clove, and black tea, and dashes of cinnamon, flecks of iron, and toasty, charred cedar – all brilliantly uplifted with Tahitian vanilla. The structure is buttressed like a Gothic chapel, and the long and winding finish meanders like the Amazon in the late summer. Somehow – against all odds – this is even better, and bolder, and more intricately layered than their brilliant 2023…and y’all pounced all over that little baddie in a nanosecond. We got all we could – but 94 POINT Pinots dropping in at under $20 a bottle tends to disappear on us, pretty quickly…so do not hesitate to fill that cart! If you LOVE Pinot (doesn’t everybody?), then you simply MUST get a handful! You’ll thank me come springtime, and the summer, and fall to come! While it lasts!
