Tenshen Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles 2022
California · Paso Robles · Cabernet Sauvignon · red
About this wine
Way, WAY under $15 a bottle, with a totally solid 92 POINT score, and the sort of power-packed Paso flavors that make you scream “Yeeee-Haw”!!! TENSHEN is back! Tenshen CABERNET SAUVIGNON, that is! 100% varietal, from the rolling hills of Paso Robles, at the sort of pricing that seems just IMPOSSIBLE! I mean, for less than two gallons of gas (in my part of California, anyways) you can get 750 milliliters of 92 POINT Cabernet Sauvignon! Seems like the right time to throw out my new favorite bumpersticker…Drink, Don’t Drive! The BEST PRICE in the world on this baby, so do what you must and don’t delay a single…solitary…second! This collaboration between winemaker Joey Tensley and long-time Last Bottle superstar Alex Guarachi — the pro soccer player, turned Chilean and global wine importer, turned Napa winemaker and grapegrower — hits on sooooo many levels it’s basically a hotel elevator. The blackberry compote! The cherries jubilee, and spicy oak notes, with the darkly hedonistic sensation of melted dark chocolate, drizzled over baked plum tarts, with a bright, fresh mission fig component lingering into a soul-satisfying finish! Huzzah, good people! Good luck finding a straight CABERNET SAUVIGNON that delivers more BANG for your buck than this! 92 POINTS! UNDER $13? Get you some, STAT!
